A Recent Rooftop Terrace Installation In Salford, Manchester.
After the owners extended the rear of the property, only a little of the rear garden was left. So with some blue sky thinking, we added a roof terrace to the ground floor extension.
We created a private roof-topped terrace. With city views to your left, once you lie back on the lounger on a fine summer’s day, you are greeted with only a framed private view of the sky.
A few new design boundaries had to be explored to achieve this view, and with a sloping rubber membrane roof which wasn’t suitable for fixing, we had to design a new system.
With a steel box section, U shaped framed structure for the railing to fix to was placed on adjustable mounting plates to make the outer frame horizontal.
The flooring tiles were fixed using adjustable feet, which butted up to the inside face of the frame.
Our Frameless channel system could now be fixed straight into the outer frame and firmly secured using stainless steel fixings.
The glass we used was 16.8mm toughened laminated with a white frosted (opaque) look with perfect results.
The glass was also manufactured to a height of 1400mm to maximise privacy while out on the terrace.
We complemented the glass with a stainless steel slotted handrail secured to the property.
Choose A Rooftop Terrace Style That Suits Your Home And Personality.
A rooftop terrace can be an excellent addition to any home. Whether looking for a place to relax and enjoy the outdoors or entertain guests, a rooftop terrace can offer ample opportunities for both. But with so many different styles, how can you find the one that’s right for you?
If you’re considering a rooftop terrace for your home, the first step is to consider your property’s overall style. A traditional home, for example, might benefit from a more classic design, while a modern home could support a more contemporary rooftop terrace.
Once you’ve settled on a general direction, it’s time to start thinking about the details. Will you opt for an open-air terrace or one that’s partially enclosed? What type of furniture will you need? And what kind of plants and decorations will best suit your space?
Remember that it should reflect your taste and preferences, no matter what style you choose for your rooftop terrace. After all, this is your space to enjoy! With some planning, you’re sure to create a rooftop retreat that you’ll love for years.
Add Plants, Flowers And Trees For A Natural Feel.
A rooftop terrace is a great way to enjoy the outdoors without leaving the comfort of your home. Adding some plants, flowers, and trees to your balcony can create a natural oasis that will make you feel like you’re miles away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Not only will this provide you with a beautiful and serene setting to relax in, but it will also help to filter the air and reduce noise pollution.
Plants can cool the air on hot days and provide much-needed shade on sunny days. If you’re looking for a way to add some green space to your home, consider adding a few plants to your rooftop terrace.
Include Comfortable Seating And Dining Areas
Rooftop terraces are a great way to use unused space and create an outdoor living area. However, to get the most out of your rooftop terrace, it’s vital to include comfortable seating and dining areas.
After all, what’s the point of having a rooftop terrace if you can’t enjoy it?
Fortunately, there are a variety of ways to achieve this. For example, you could create a cosy sitting area with a few chairs and a small table. Or, if you’re looking for something more sophisticated, you could install a rooftop dining area with a table and chairs.
Either way, by including comfortable seating and dining areas on your rooftop terrace, you’ll be able to turn it into an inviting space that you and your guests will love.

A perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of city living!
Install Lighting To Extend Your Outdoor Living Space Into The Evening Hours
One way to make the most of your rooftop terrace is to install lighting, allowing you to extend your outdoor living space into the evening hours.

Use Your Rooftop Terrace’s Unique Features

Or, if your rooftop terrace has a bar area, stock it with your favourite drinks and snacks so you can enjoy a refreshing beverage while taking in the stunning views.
Using your rooftop terrace’s unique features, you can turn it into a truly one-of-a-kind space.
Use Decorative Touches To Add Interest
